INSPECTION AND TESTING OF FIRE-RESISTANT DOOR SETS

RE: DEAD BOLTS ON FIRE DOORS

 

As per the Building Fire Safety Regulation 2008 of Building Act 1975 and Fire and Rescue Service Act 1990, on behalf of Cathedral Place Body Corporate, Fire Door Inspector Mark Harrington (QBSA License 1189324) of EDE Construction and Property Maintenance, conducted the Fire Door Inspections for all the lots in Cathedral Place on April and May 2012.

 Owners are being individually contacted if their unit door is fitted with a non-compliant deadbolt and 2 options being advised to rectify the matter.

 

Option 1:

Square plate replacing the Non-compliant Lock at a cost of $175

 Option 2:

Installing compliant Dead lock Look-wood 002 at a cost of $375.

Your urgent attention is required on this matter and please contact the caretaker within 14 days and advise your choice from the above options for complying the your Fire Door. If you are unable to contact the caretaker within 14 days option 1 will be chosen for your fire door by default.
